Kurt is a West Point graduate and retired Army officer with over 23 years of service. He is Airborne, Ranger, and Special Forces (Green Beret) qualified, served in Infantry & Special Forces units and had 2 tours teaching at West Point. Kurt Volunteered to go back on active duty after 9/11 and served in Iraq in '05 advising the Iraqi Army.
In addition to his service to the nation in the Army, Kurt has served his community as a volunteer for many years. He is an Eagle Scout with over 25 years as an adult Scout leader and is one of the founders of a non-profit that has run over 130 free therapeutic retreats for military, veterans, first responders and their loved ones since 2014. He is active in the Gilford Rotary Club, served for 9 years on the Gilford School Board, was a volunteer coach for the Gilford High School football team for 8 years and is the NH State Coordinator for West Point Admissions.
Kurt is a moderate and was a registered Republican for over 30 years but became an Independent as the party moved too far to the right. He ran as an Independent for the NH State House in '22 and then again as a moderate Democrat in '24 but lost both times in a heavily gerrymandered Republican district. He is now registered as an Independent again since he shares George Washington's concerns about excessive partisanship and the win at all costs mentality many in both parties exhibit.
To get a better idea about Kurt's politics and his views on Donald Trump's complete unfitness to be President (or to hold any other public office), you can click on the following link to see a blog post he did in 2020 enumerating the reasons why Trump shouldn't be re-elected in 2020 - Common Sense 2020.

Jennifer is a West Point graduate and prior Army officer who served from May 1983 to March of 1989 as an Ordnance officer serving in West Germany as a Shop Officer and at Ft Dix NJ as the Director of the Wheeled Vehicle Mechanics Course. After leaving active duty Jennifer served as a Military Academy Liaison Officer in NJ for six years. She also served on the boards of two organizations supporting the LGBTQ communities from 1996 – 2005.
Jennifer spent the remainder of her 34 year career working in the Pharma/BioTech Industry as a manager in the Packaging, Manufacturing and Quality fields. Jennifer is a moderate who was a registered Republican for 10 years and then moved away from the party during the Newt Gingrich era. She became an Independent for 5 years and has been a Democrat for 21 years. Jennifer is highly concerned over the current state of the country. As a veteran I have a duty to step forward and do what I can to pressure the legislative branch to execute on the oath they took to support and defend the constitution.
The lack of action by Congress to stand up and stop this administration is a failure to the oath and the country. It is up to us, the people, to step away from politics and work together to get our Congress and country back on track,
